Workshop: Requirements for SAIL IV Drone Operations

Workshop to analyze the requirements of SAIL IV drone operations, the concerns of the OEM and how to overcome hurdles. Many operators and OEMs are concerned about the requirements by EASA to fly in urban areas or above people. For logistics and infrastructure inspections but also for rescue services or large scale surveyance it is immanent to fly above cities and people with drones. In most cases these operations are described with SAIL IV operations, because of the Safe Operations Risk Analysis (SORA). The workshop will discuss these requirements and provide insights about the options to master the requirements.

The workshop will not provide a battle of slides but allows to delve into a discussion about apparent challenges that may not be challenges at all. Also, it is intended to collect information for a checklist how to tackle the SAIL IV requirements as an OEM.
